Cons

only 4 external button controls - really annoying for purists, those used to having buttons on cameras, really only slows down interaction with the camera

poor 230k dot display resolution - especially for the size of the display and the user's reliance on it as the cameras control interface

1 agrees

fairly unattractive, uninspired aesthetic

menu items rely on icons with no text captions - infuriating to use for people who don't have experience / knowledge of the interface

Edit

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX78 (aka DMC-FX77 in other parts of the world) is a 3D-compliant, point-and-shoot digital camera released in early 2011 as an upgrade from the non-3D DMC-FX75 (2010). It adds 3D functionality, in that it can create a 3D image by taking 30 consecutive shots and then combining the best two into an MPO-format file. Featured is a 24mm ultra-wide angle, 5x optical zoom lens; a 12.1MP MOS sensor; and an intelligent 3.5” touchscreen that supports Touch Zooming, Touch AF, Touch Shutter, and Touch Playback. Another noticeable upgrade is the video quality, which goes from 720p to full 1080p high-definition. Additional features include photo/video tagging for upload, support for high-speed continuous shooting, and a batch of intelligent ‘Retouch’ functions.
