Frequently Asked Questions
The housing & the blades get too Hot to handle. Will cutting Yorkie hair be too Hot?
My clippers have never gotten to hot and I have a full grown bouvier (double coated dog). You just have to make sure your not covering the air vents on the clippers when your using them and oil them before each clipping.
What size blade comes with the Oster A5 2 speed ?
Will the clipper not get too hot and will I be able to cut my dogs hair thin one has a very thick coat oster A5 turbo2 speed?
The clippers will get hot. Besides the blade getting hot, you will feel it in your hand from the body of the clipper. I check the blade periodically by putting the flat of the blade on the back of my hand or cheek. I don't believe the dogs feel the heat much when you are clipping the body of the coat but you need to be careful of their faces, feet and other sensitive parts if you clip them. I blow on their feet while clipping if I am close to being done with the task. Otherwise, I let the clippers cool & do something else such as brushing or clipping toenails while the clippers cool.
