The Onkyo HT-S5300 is a 7.1 home theater system released in April, 2010. This receiver is similar to Onkyo’s HT-S3300, a less powerful 5.1 surround sound system with one less HDMI port. A dedicated iPod/iPhone dock is also included. Seven 65w satellite speakers and a 130w subwoofer are included in the box. This powerful home theater system is best suited for large rooms where the numerous discrete channels can be effectively appreciated. Four 3D-compatible HDMI 1.4 ports have been integrated into the receiver, allowing for 3D Blu-ray movies to be viewed on a compatible television set. The latest HD audio codecs are supported, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The Audyssey Dynamic Volume feature will keep sound levels consistent from unbalanced sources. Also, an onscreen menu system can be used to select between 4 different gaming modes, including Rock, Sports, Action and Role Playing.
