The Onkyo HT-S3300 is a 5.1 home theater system released in March, 2010. This product is comparable to Onkyo’s HT-S5300, a 7.1 surround sound system with greater power and an additional HDMI port. Included in the HT-S3300’s box is five 55w satellite speakers and a 130w subwoofer. Three HDMI 1.4 inputs are integrated into the receiver, allowing for 3D video to pass through to a high-def television. The latest HD audio codecs are supported, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. This means users can enjoy the lossless soundtracks found on Blu-ray Disc movies. For those who are sensitive to inconsistent audio levels, the Audyssey Dynamic Volume feature will keep sound consistent. An onscreen menu system can be used to select between 4 different gaming modes, including Rock, Sports, Action and Role Playing. The Onkyo HT-S3300 is also compatible with a separately purchased iPod/iPhone dock.
