Edit

The Onkyo TX-SR575 is a moderately priced audio receiver that comes with advanced features. Priced at $480, this piece was released in 2001. It has features that only much more expensive sets would have a couple of years earlier. This piece was one of the first of its kind at that time to have HMDI 1.3, and onboard decoding of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks found on HD DVD and Blu-ray discs. This piece could be compared with the more expensive Marantz SR4002 in terms of richness of features. Other exciting features include support for XM and Sirius satellite radio, and Audyssey automatic speaker calibration that enables users to accurately align sound output with the contours of their homes.
