The Olympus FE-4000 is a lower-mid range point-and-shoot digital camera, a step above the FE-3000, and with similar but upgraded features. The main differences are in the resolution, which is 12 megapixels (as opposed to 10) and the 4x optical zoom, up from 3. The FE-4000 also has autofocus tracking which enables clearer pictures of moving targets. It also has a high ISO mode, at speeds of 1600 ISO and 20 different preset shooting modes, including an automatic mode that selects from these. The FE-4000 does not have a viewfinder and must use the 2.7" LCD screen to take photos. Like the FE-3000, this camera has a compact form factor and uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Other features include a "magic filter" mode that adds artistic digital filters to the photo, face recognition, and digital image stabilization.
