Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do i have to use the batteries this comes with?

The batteries and the recharger are a matched set -- the charge base *will not charge Microsoft rechargeable batteries, only the Nyko batteries*. The recharging contacts on the Nyko batteries are in a different place so that the controller + battery will rest in the charge base comfortably. You can, however, switch out between the Nyko batteries and any other Microsoft rechargeable or non-rechargeable battery packs you have.

  • Do you have to worry about overcharging? So leaving it on the Base overnight should not negatively impact the lifespan of the battery?

No, you do not worry about overcharge. When the battery is charged the charger stop charging it.

  • Where is the usb port?

The usb port is hidden under a plastic flap on the front of the charging station.
