The nVidia GeForce GTX 465 is a high-end graphics card released in mid-2010. This dual-slot, DirectX 11 card competes directly with ATi’s similarly priced Radeon HD 5850. According to expert reviewers, the GTX 465 isn’t as capable as its Radeon HD competitor, but offers nVidia-exclusive PhysX support and exceeds at tessellation effects in games. This card also features 352 CUDA cores, meaning applications like Adobe Photoshop and Badaboom can offload CPU intensive tasks to the graphics card. When playing games the GTX 465 uses over 200 watts of power, meaning users will need at least 550 watts of overall system power. HDMI output is supported along with dual-link DVI, permitting a multiple monitor setup. The nVidia GeForce GTX 465 measures 9.5-inches in length.
