The GeForce GT 435M is one of several mid-range, DirectX 11 notebook graphics cards from Nvidia new for fall 2010. With the maximum 1GB memory, it offers better graphics performance than most pre-installed notebook GPUs, but not the high-end upgrade available with a GTX-series model. Identical to the 425M aside from slightly higher core clock speeds, the card features technologies like Nvidia Optimus, which saves battery life by automatically alternating between the GPU and the notebook's integrated graphics as required, and Nvidia PhysX, which provides support for advanced in-game physics. The GT 435M also handles HD video decoding, helping to free up the CPU and deliver a seamless movie-watching experience. The GT 445M is a step up, with 144 rather than 96 CUDA cores and a GDDR5 memory option.
