The nVidia GeForce GT 240 is a low priced graphic processor aimed at casual gamers. It features a factory setting of 1340 MHz, and can work with up to 1G of DDR3, GDDR3, or GDDR5 in a 128-bit interface. An NVIDIA PureVideo HD processor is integrated to handle decoding high definition video on the fly without putting any extra load on the main GPU itself. NVIDIA 3D Vision support is also included, allowing users with wireless stereoscopic glasses to turn many existing games into full 3D experiences. Rendering standards supported include DirectX 10.1, OpenCL, OpenGL 3.2, and Microsoft's DirectCompute introduced in Windows 7. NVIDIA PhysX technology is supported as well for fast computing of physics in 3D environments. This card supports 2-Way SLI, allowing it to be linked with a second GeForce processor to share the processing load and increase performance.
