User a Symbian operating system which was never spesifically designed for touch-screen.

Uses an older-style "resistive" pressure-sensitive touch-screen which is inaccurate when touched compared with modern capacitative touch-screens. Device requires a stylus for accurate screen control.

Edit

The Nokia N97 is a touchscreen phone which slides open to reveal a small QWERTY keyboard. The screen can be angled, allowing the consumer to use the phone as a mini-computer to browse the web or write e-mails. The battery is capable of 1.5 days of audio playback or 4.5 hours of video, making it good for a movie every so often but not a device to rely on for long flight. It has A-GPS and 32GB of onboard memory along with a microSD expansion slot. The touchscreen is 3.5 inch and has a 16:9 aspect ration, 640 x 360 pixel. The price tag attached to the Nokia N97 package is not cheap, so this phone is not the best for those who need to watch their budget.

Seriously this phone is a peice of crap. From day one it proved to be untrustworthy and difficult to use. We got to review both the early alpha hardware and the final version: Both were appaling.

I'm a longtime Nokia user, you might even call me a fan-boy but this one device was evidence enough to prove that the S60 platform is nearing the end of it's working life, at least in the smartphone market.

Luckily I didnt have to pay for this. When my moth of using it was up I was actually quite delighted to return it to Nokia.
