The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj is the world's first digital camera to feature a built-in projector. The projector lets you view photos and videos projected up to 40 inches from up to 2 meters away on any surface eliminating the need to cram around a small LCD screen to share your digital images. As a digital camera, it can take 12.1 megapixel photos and has a 5x zoom NIKKOR lens.  It has a smart portrait system with skin softening and a scene auto selector to provide quick, carefree picture-taking in a variety of situations. There are five advanced stabilization features including ISO 6400, Lens shift VR image stabilization, Electronic VR image stabilization, Motion Detection, and Best Shot Selector. To give easy projector operation, the S1000pj comes with a projector stand and wireless remote control. There are a variety of slideshow effects to enhance the fun of the built-in projector and there is a manual focus for a clear projected image.  There is also a 2.7" LCD screen for easy picture viewing. Other features include automatic subject tracking, D-Lighting to add detail and optimize exposure and Quick Retouch for the best balance of contrast and saturation.
