The Nikon AF Zoom NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4-5.6G is a light, low-cost zoom lens. This lens has a very basic feature set, and lacks features found in mid- and high-range lenses such as Extra-low Dispersion glass or Vibration Reduction. It moves through the 70 - 300 mm focal length range with a 4.3x zoom, and on SLR cameras the aperture can be set from the command dial on camera body itself. 9 diaphragm blades are used for a more circular aperture, creating a more clearly defined field-of-view that gives a natural blur to background elements. A Super Integrated Coating reduces internal flares, allowing true colors to be better represented. Distance information is provided on the lens for flash and ambient light processes.
