The Nikon AF-S VR NIKKOR 200mm f/2G IF-ED lens is a flagship offering, with features above and beyond the rest of Nikon's NIKKOR telephoto lenses. This lens combines features of various NIKKOR lens lines, such as AF-S (Silent wave Auto Focus motor), VR (Vibration Reduction image stabilization), IF (Internal Focus) and ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass. The Silent wave Auto Focus motor enables ultra high-speed autofocus that offers precision and quiet operation at once. The Vibration Reduction image stabilization cuts down on the blur that camera shake can create, and enables handheld shooting at up to three speeds slower than is usually possible. The internal focus of the AF-S VR NIKKOR 200mm f/2G IF-ED ensures that you can focus smoothly without changing the size of the lens. The three extra-low dispersion glass elements of this lens eliminate chromatic and secondary spectrum abberation, and help this lens to work through rapid temperature changes. The G after the aperture rating of 2 in the lens title indicates that this is a G-Type lens, which means that it has no aperture ring. This means that the aperture must be selected from a compatible AF, SLR or DSLR camera body. The Nikon AF-S VR NIKKOR 200mm f/2G IF-ED lens comes with HK-31 lens hood (w/ rotating tripod collar), CL-L1 case, LN-1 strap, 52mm filter holder, lens cover and rear lens cap.
