The Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D is a low-cost lens built for general photography. It is similar to the more expensive Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4D, but has a slower f/1.8 speed and weighs slightly less. The slower speed has been leveraged to allow sharp images, and the Super Integrated Coating helps to reduce flare from light sources for an even clearer image. The design of the lens is compact and light for increased portability. Distance information is shown on the lens to aid in flash and ambient light exposure processes. This lens accepts 52mm screw-on filters, and can be stopped down to f/22 for a wide variety of depth-of-field options.
