The Nikon AF NIKKOR 20mm f/2.8D is an ultra-wide-angle built to be compact and lightweight. Functionally it is similar to the Nikon AF NIKKOR 14mm f/2.8D ED, with the same aperture and focus system. The design has been completely reworked, however, with a much smaller length and almost a third of the weight. This has resulted in some reduction in the view angle, but a 94 degree maximum view is still available with edge-to-edge sharpness. Combined with the long focal length and aperture flexibility, this lens is suitable for landscapes, interiors, and events that may have variable lighting conditions. Close-Range Correction (CRC) allows the subject to be as close as 0.85 feet without distortion as well.
