Edit

The Nike Zoom Start 2009 is a running shoe for both men and women released in 2009 targeted to the neutral to underpronator who requires lightweight cushioning.  (An underpronator is a type of foot that doesn't roll inward enough to absorb shock which is common with high rigid arches, which may cause foot, ankle, knee and hip pains if not cushioned properly with the proper shoe).  It has a Flywire fit system integrated into the midfoot panel for a great fit and feel against the foot, an open mesh breathable upper, a full-length cushion midsole with a zoom air unit for a fresh ride, and the Nike+ technology for instant workout feedback when used with a Nike+ SportBand or iPod® nano and Nike + iPod Sport Kit.  With 10 oz in weight, it has abrasion resistant BRS 1000 carbon rubber in high wear areas with articulated segments of Duralon across the forefoot for durability/cushioning and to encourage a neutral toe-off.

Features
  • Nike+ enabled for instant workout feedback when used with a Nike+ SportBand or iPod® nano and Nike + iPod Sport Kit

  • Decoupled Crash Pad to reduce overpronation
  • BRS1000 heel at outsole with Duralon and Waffle pattern for traction and durability
  • Weight: 11.2 oz. based on Women's size 8
