The Nike Air Jordan 12 Retro is the current version of the original Air Jordan 12's which were released in 1996. The original design was inspired by the Japanese Rising Sun flag, with the stitching on the side panels representing the sun’s rays. This was also the first Air Jordan to sport the “Two 3” style on the tongue and not have a Nike or a swoosh logo on the entire sneaker; as well, it featured the new Zoom Air technology. These have remained relatively unchanged in appearance from the original version, with only two colorways released and a third recently added on black friday 2009 in time for Christmas. The first release of these 'retroed' shoes maintains the all black with red toe/sole scheme, with two significant numbers in MJ's career printed on the heel(this shoe has been dubbed 'Flu-Game' by Nike in commemoration of Jordan's legendary game against Utah in the 1997 finals). Another version has the black switched with white with red toe and the most recent version is all white. Available in Men's, Boy's and Kid's sizes.
