The Nike Air Jordan 11 Retro is the current version of the basketball shoe originally released in 1995/96, when Jordan made his comeback and led the Bulls to another NBA victory. The initial design made by legendary Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfield was radically more sleek and futuristic looking which was what made it popular at first, with durability problems creeping in later on. In 2001/02 the shoe was 'retro'ed' and went on to become the biggest selling retro, and fastest selling Air Jordan of all time. A much anticipated Black Varsity w/Royal White midsole version pictured at right is slated to be released on December 23rd of 2009, moved forward from the originally planned release date of Christmas eve.
