I was thinking of purchasing the WNCE2001 for my home theater... Now, if I were to connect it to a Blu-Ray player that can already connect to my home network wirelessly using the Vizio Internet apps, would I get more options on the internet through the WNCE2001?, Or the same kind of apps using the already installed Vizio apps like Vudu, Netflix, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr...?

There aren't any apps on that piece of networking hardware. All your apps are located on the blu-ray player. You might be interested in one of many set-top boxes if you'd like additional Internet-based content.

DO NOT buy this if you use a ATT 2wire modem Reading the FAQ section it says it works only on a DHCP connection. ATT 2wire modem supports ONLY PPPoE. I wasted hours and a trip back to the store

Not true, i installed it on my Hackintosh... Works great on Win7 and Mac Pro, The only con is that i have to restarted everytime i go to the Win 7 OS.... Other than that its awesome.

Will this device enhance the Wifi signal from a Netgear WNR 1000, so it will go further through the house?

No it will not, however it will provide a wireless access point to any non-wireless device with an ethernet port. I personally wouldn't reccomend the wireless range extenders, they tend to not work.
