The U115 is a mid-range model in MSi's Wind line of budget netbooks. Its central selling point is the ability to operate both SSD and HDD drives simultaneously. This hybrid storage feature fuses the reliability and speed of flash storage with the higher storage capacity possible with a traditional hard drive. The U115 also features an LED-backlit 10-inch screen with a 1024x600 resolution, which MSi says allows it to fully display web content which is less effectively handled by smaller, lower-resolution netbooks. A text magnification feature further improves usability. Like all netbooks, the U115 is highly portable, with a maximum thickness of 1.24" and weight of around 2.2 lbs. It utilizes an Intel Atom CPU clocking in at 1.6 GHz, and is available with 1 GB of RAM and 120 or 160 GB of hard drive space in addition to 8 or 16 GB of SSD capacity. Other features include a built-in webcam and 4-in-1 card reader.
