Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make just a cup of coffee with this machine?
Unfortunately, it says that this is only designed to brew a small amount of coffee for the purpose of make lattes and is not meant to replace a standard coffee maker.
After using this machine for 5 months, the whisk starts to rust. Anyone has this problem?
It isn't rust, Tienmima, it's the combo of coffee and froth which settle on the wisk even though you wash it. I just took CLR and sat the wisk portion in about two inches of it, enough to be over the wisk. I kept getting black deposits falling off. So I just let it sit in the CLR for about an hour and most of it is gone. If you don't wipe the bottom of the decanter where the milk is put, that becomes the same way except you get pieces of brown gook in your latte. I have had mine for about six months.
My whisk fell in the garbage disposal...anyone else had to replace this piece? How?
You can order parts from http://www.mrcoffeelatte.com/support.aspx. The whisk is $14.99. I just broke the top of my pitcher but it still works for now.
