The Xoom 2 Media Edition is a touchscreen tablet device from the Motorola company that offers a step-down from the company's standard Xoom 2 model. Featuring a slightly smaller display than its full-sized counterpart at 8.2 inches, this model incorporates the same Gorilla Glass coating as the other Xoom models for improved durability and longevity. Running the Android 2.3 Honeycomb operating system, users can customize their home screen and download games and applications from the Android Market web store. Claiming a 20-percent increase in graphics quality over the original Xoom tablet, the Media Edition incorporates a 178-degree viewing angle for multi-person viewing of high-quality video content. A 1.2-gigahert dual-core processor is included that helps to provide lag-free operation throughout online and offline activities alike, with pre-installed software like QuickOffice, Evernote and Twonky aiming to appeal to business-geared individuals. The Media Edition also incorporates the standard Xoom 2's dual camera design, with 5-megapixel rear-facing and 1.3-megapixel front facing components for various needs. The inclusion of DLNA compatibility allows users to wirelessly stream content between compatible devices that can include TVs, other tablets, desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and more.
