Edit

The Motorola Flipout is an Android 2.1-based, square slider that uses Motorola’s MotoBlur user interface. Engineered for HSPA transmissions, the Flipout features a screen that can be slid up to reveal a QWERTY keyboard, or twisted over to “show a compact device with the screen facing front.” Included also is a 2.8” display, a 700MHz processor, 256MB of RAM, integrated GPS, and a 3.1MP camera. Critics are most fascinated with the unit’s use of MotoBlur, as the Flipout is the first Android 2.1 device to use it. Added to that, the Flipout is available in three colors, making it especially friendly to young, social-network-savvy and on-the-go teens and business professionals alike.
