Edit

The Motorola Droid 2 is a slider smartphone released by Verizon Networks in August 2010 as an official upgrade from the original Droid. It sports the same 3.7” LCD display, 5MP rear camera w/flash and 720x480 video capabilities, but hosts a faster 1GHz processor, larger internal storage (from 256MB to 8GB), and the Android 2.2 operating system. With the improved Android OS comes Flash Player 10.1, Swype (pre-installed), optional Wi-Fi hotstop ($20/month), and an improved interface. In particular, Microsoft Exchange functions better, users can install apps on SD cards, and Google’s V8 JavaScript engine has been incorporated—meaning “massively improved JavaScript performance.”
