The Mongoose 2010 Otero Super is one of three budget-friendly mountain/recreational bikes designed for casual riding, as well as grinding along bumpy local trails. It is the most expensive of the set, as it is even more durable, reliable, and useful. For instance, it adds a 9-speed cassette, a Suntour Mag 32-LOD fork, and SRAM X5 triggers 27 speed shifters. Like its peers (Comp, Elite), the Otero Super relies on a heat-treated 6000 alloy frame, a 4-bar suspension system, and what is described as an on-the-trail tool-free adjustable design. This unique design means that pivotal components can easily be adjusted while out and about if they start to cause any unwanted problems; users need not carry a set of screwdrivers and nuts with them all the time.
