Pedaling too difficult? Use the power of electricity to aid in transporting you. With a fully electric motor, this Mongoose cruiser can achieve a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour and can last up to 14-18 miles on a single charge. The battery comes included and can last for up to 100-200 charge cycles. The bike's weight, which is heavier than other electric bikes, is a result of its steel frame frame.

Other specs:

  • 7 gear transmission
  • front shocks
  • 24V battery

Hello! We've purchased the Mongoose CX24V200 but we're having a terrible time with charging. Nowhere in the manual are step-by-step instructions on how to charge this bike. We know to plug the charger in, plug the charger into the bike, but does the power switch need to be on? Does the plug that connects to the motor need to be plugged in? We've purchased new SLA batteries, thinking that the other ones wouldn't hold a charge anymore but we're having the same result of not being able to charge the batteries. How long does the first charge take?

The heavy weight of this bike is NOT due to the steel construction. It is due to the SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries. There are plenty of bicycles under 20lbs whose frames are constructed of steel. Steel bicycles are close to, if not equal to that of aluminum bicycles tanks to modern steel alloys.
