The LifeCam HD-6000 is a mid-range 720p webcam from Microsoft. It utilizes the company's TrueColor technology, which aims to produce a clearer image and more vivid color via more precise exposure controls. The webcam records 720p (widescreen) video at 30 fps with auto-focus. Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and 7, the HD-6000 is optimized for use with Windows Live Messenger, but can be used with a variety of VoIP and other software. The HD-6000 is designed more for notebooks than the otherwise similar HD-5000 and HD-5001, with a more compact design and the ability to rotate 180 degrees in either direction for greater versatility.

The Microsoft LifeCam HD-6000 is a Useless Web cam. The picture turns Blurry every 10 seconds and needs 6 more seconds to come back, this happen over and over again. The reason is that this camera is missing a lens. Camera leads to higher CPU usage that means to overheat the processor, endangering your computer. The reason is that this camera is missing an onboard processor (no hardware encoder ). RETURNED ASAP AND BOUGHT A LOGITEC.
