Quite possibly the best washer and dryer set I have ever owned. I have owned GE, Kitchenaid, Whirlpool, and Frigidaire washers and dryers in the past (all top load) and had problems with each set that required replacement eventually. I moved into a condominium and had only 26 inches of laundry space to work with -my only choices were the permanently stacked, small, crappy Whirlpool and GE sets or this set and its cousin Whirlpool (I am assuming the same thing with different badging). I was set to purchase them new from Sears for $1300., but, I found the same set used on Craigslist for $350. bucks for the pair! (1 year old). I ran a few loads and noticed a "clacking" noise when the washer drained..checked the internet...found that this machine will eat change and found a quick fix (open the pump assemly on the bottom -shake change out -voila) and also found a remedy (place a plastic screw anchor in the middle of the drainage slot within the rubber seal - fixed). Long story short, have owned them now for a year myself, nothing but sparkling clean clothes and total energy savings. If you don't abuse them (although this washer can handle a TON of clothes -surprisingly) you will get the same results. In other words, follow the directions and quit being lazy....
