I own a Maytag MVWC300XW0. It is garbage. I made the mistake of buying this washer in December 2011. I have been using the Heavy Duty heavy cycle with the additional rinse and it still barely cleans clothing after about ab hour and a half. I'm looking for a decent washer so I can trash this one.

This model is discontinued. The X is on the newer version#Maytag MVWC200XW and the X is just part of the model number. I'm not sure it means anything in particular.

Lid LOCKS during wash so it's difficult to add an item after startup, difficult to mix detergent with water before adding clothes. Auto water level...translate to LOW water level...you can't control or change this. I don't feel that the detergent is rinsed out of clothing. This machine did not qualify for any of the energy rebates. Paid $399 @ homedepot. I still like agitator machines over impeller or front load, but i want to control the water level...

You know what, we should all " DEMAND OUR MONEY BACK FROM MAYTAG! " DEMAND A RECALL OF THESE WASHERS. These machines are JUNK like the Maytag executives who just DON'T GIVE A DAMN about the consumer, all they care about is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, THE MORE THEY CAN SCREW THE CONSUMER THE BETTER !
