This washer does not last, Less than 3 years old, drain pump died, we fixed ourselves $75 for part. Now sounds like a jet engine when spinning. Nothing is under warranty. DO NOT BUY!!!

Mine has done the same exact thing. It has rusted around the hinge for the lid and now it will not shut properly.

Water doesn't even cover the clothes. In fact, it doesn't even cover the agitator thing. Is this normal???

Two months after the warranty expires it needed a $200 repair (circuit board). I would not recommend Maytag.

I also own this washer and now it is making a VERY loud noise when it spins. Like a jet engine and I can hear it from across the house. It is not unlevel because I have checked. This is the 2nd Maytag product that I have owned that seems to go bad right before the two year warranty or just immediately after. I will NEVER buy another Maytag. Seems like this is a scam!

the bearings are shot. The basket that holds the clothes needs a replacement

My Maytag MVWB700VQ is thre years old, the main seal is bad, shooting grease all over the floor. Of course Maytag says this is not a common problem. We haven't had issues with the circuit board, that is probably next. Just purchased a Maytag Bravos dryer, thinking of returning it, as I am now not happy with anything Maytag. Products should be expected to last longer than 3 years.

"This error code indicates that the washer is overloaded."

Based on suggestions for other washers with the same error: try removing some clothes from the load if you feel it might just be too many, if it happens again, you might have to get service to take a look and replace the motor control or the bearing.

On second replacement in 1 year and this one's mother board has now gone out.
