Cons

Personally the standard action was a little high, but they'll have to set a middle ground for all players

2 agree

Action was a little high, but my guitar tech sorted it and now it is perfect. Believe me it,s all good.

Would have been nice at this price to have proper inlay around the sound hole

Edit

The D-15M is a premium acoustic guitar from Martin. Though suitable for a stage, the D-15M really shines in an intimate setting, where detailed patterns and notes can be easily discerned. This is because the D-15M has deep tone and sustain. This comes from features like the genuine mahogany top, sides and neck. Mahogany is one of the deepest-toned woods out there, and the Martin uses it to great effect on the D-15M. The sound is said to be on the bright side of the spectrum, but a bassy fingerpicked line will still come through clearly. The nickel tuning pegs of the D-15M ensure that you will stay in tune even if jarred. The open gear construction of the tuning pegs makes them strong and tight. The black-colored bridge is solid ebony, which will also help with the tuning situation. This unique bridge also adds to the tone of the D-15M. Players at a higher level will get the most out of the D-15M. This is true of pretty much all the guitars in the 15 series, but especially so with the high-end D-15M. If you are just starting to play guitar, you might not want to shell out the money for the D-15M's hefty pricetag. Though the 15 series in general has received positive reviews, there have not been any reviews of the D-15M in particular.
