The Martin D12-28 is a 12-string acoustic guitar based on the previous model. Originally revealed in 1973, the guitar has a 14-fret body style with Solid East Indian rosewood back, sides and headplate. Instead of using attractive bindings to create a flashy instrument, the guitar is built around quality and solid construction as it has a solid black ebony fingerboard and a genuine mahogany neck. In order to reduce the extra pull from more strings, the instrument has a 24.9-inch scale length. Famous musicians that have used the acoustic guitar include David Gilmore of Pink Floyd and Dave Matthews.
