Most recent map upgrade was three years ago, in 2010. Even on sale, this is no bargain. Avoid!

The Magellan RoadMate 1324 is an entry level automobile GPS receiver that also functions as a portable receiver, courtesy of a 2 hour rechargeable battery. Unlike some of the more premium models like the RoadMate 9020, the RoadMate 1324 doesn’t come with lifetime traffic or capacitive functionality. However, it does feature a 3.5” touchscreen display that’s small and therefore makes the receiver easy to carry. More importantly, the receiver offers several features to make driving easier. For instance, it can speak street names and turn by turn directions so users don’t have to direct their eyes at the screen while driving. In addition, it offers a million+ points of interest. This allows users on a trip to quickly locate a restaurant or gas station. Note that the Magellan 1324 only comes with maps for the United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, but users may obtain additional maps at a premium.
