The Logitech Optical Gaming Mouse G400 is an entry level wired mouse designed for gaming. It replaces the ever popular and well renowned MX518 as Logitech's budget gaming option. The exterior shape is kept the same with a change of colour scheme. Button placements are also identical with two thumb buttons, scroll wheel, and 3 buttons for various functions. The optical tracking sensor has been upgraded from 1800dpi to 3600dpi with four level of dpi adjustments from 400 to 3600dpi. Other specifications include a max acceleration allowance of 25G, 16bit/axis USB data format, and a polling rate of 1000 times per second. The Logitech Optical Gaming Mouse G400 offers solid upgrades over the original model, but with the original MX518's price dropping to a bargain range, whether the G400's upgrades are worth the premium is another question.
