The Linksys EG005W is a Gigabit 5-port workgroup switch designed for moving graphics, multimedia, and application files quickly across business networks. Each port is auto-sensing and designed to deliver optimal Ethernet/Gigabit speeds for each connected devices, thereby eliminating the need for MDI/MDI-X crossover cables. In addition, the EG005W utilizes Blocking Prevention technology to help keep lower-speed traffic from bogging down high-speed transmissions. Most notable about the EG005W is its Address Learning/Aging and Data Flow Control that work together to ensure superior data flow with almost no transmission errors. Additional features of the Linksys EG005W workgroup switch include a non head-of-line blocking architecture, and full compliance with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3x, and 802.3ab. The Linksys EG005W retails for $79.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
