T-Mobile myTouch Q is a QWERTY slider version of the myTouch smart phone by LG, both of which run Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and have been announced for pre-Christmas 2011 release in the U.S. The main difference between these is the myTouch is a full 3.8 inch Swype touch screen design, while the myTouch Q has a 3.5 inch touch screen and an added horizontal slide out QWERTY keyboard. Both feature a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 5 megapixel rear facing camera capable of 720p video recording, and a smaller front facing camera with access to T-Mobile Video Chat powered by Qik. What makes these phones special is they have been implemented with ease-of-use features and software specifically aimed at first time smart phone users to help make the setup process as painless as possible. Included are apps such as Tips Widget which contains a list of the phones' features and instructional videos, the Genius Button, which allows you to use simple voice commands to make calls, send text messages or surf the web by pressing one button, and Set-Up Wizard which will take you through the steps to set up email and social networking. Both models operate on T-Mobile's 4G network and also feature entertainment apps like Netflix, Youtube and T-Mobile TV in Mobile HD which itself streams at 800kbps and 16:9 resolution. The myTouch Q comes in either gray or violet, while the myTouch is offered in black or white.
