Edit

The LG Optimus C is an Android powered smartphone available exclusively through Cricket Wireless. The phone features a 3.2-inch HVGA (Half-size Video Graphics Array) capacitive touch-screen display, so both navigation and typing are done using the touchscreen. This phone is a take on the LG Optimus One by Cricket Wireless with a different faceplate, but all of the same insides. The Optimus C has 4 individual physical keys, while its earlier version had 3 keys, the middle one doubling as two buttons. Cricket's LG Optimus C is heavier than the LG Optimus One version at 5.39 oz vs. 4.55 oz. This phone runs on the Android 2.2 OS with an internal memory of 170 mb so that media may be stored without using external memory. The Optimus C also has both a built-in accelerometer used for games and gyro-sensor to sense the angle/tilt of the phone and a proximity sensor for locking the touch screen during phone calls to avoid accidental dialing. For additional storage the phone includes a microSD slot that supports memory cards up to 32 GB that can store uploaded, downloaded and recorded media. This smartphone contains a Lithium Ion battery that allows up to 8 hours talk time and about 700 hours of standby time.
