Edit

The ThinkPad W701ds is the dual-screen version of Lenovo's high-end W701 notebook laptop. The W701ds and its single-screen cousin share many features in common, such as the Wacom digitizer with pen. The Wacom technology registers writing easily, without having to press the pen down very hard. The UPEK fingerprint reader, an interactive security system, is another shared feature. The W701ds is an upgrade of Lenovo's previous dual-screen notebook offering, the W700ds. The option of Intel's Core i7-920 2.66 GHz processor is a result of this upgrading, as is the inclusion of Nvidia Quadro FX 3800M graphics. While the primary display is a 17" WUXGA (1920 x 1200 resolution), the secondary display is a 10.6" WXGA (1280 x 800 resolution). The nine pound weight of the W701ds makes it a little less portable than other notebook laptops.
