The Thinkpad W701 is a high-end notebook laptop from Lenovo. Like its dual-screen companion, the W701ds, the W701 is equipped with a Wacom digitizer, which allows you to manually input information via pen tablet. Wacom's technology is designed so that you do not have to press down hard on the tablet for it to register your writing.  Another interactive feature here is the fingerprint reader from UPEK, which is a means of tightening up your laptop security by personalizing it. The W701 has features that one might expect from a high-end notebook: lots of connectivity (see Features list), up to Intel Core i7-920 2.66 GHz processor, Windows 7, 2.1-megapixel webcam. In terms of features, the ThinkPad W701 has less power and storage than the W701ds.
