The Lenovo ThinkPad L420 is a part of Lenovo's L-series of laptops that have been updated for 2011. Key differences found in the new model are hardware capabilities, including support for second generation i5 and i7 Intel processors.
Intended to be cheaper options than Lenovo's T-series of laptops, the L420 starts at a lower grade of hardware but still has many options to upgrade to a powerful system. As stated above, up to the new Intel i7 processors can be installed in the laptop with enough processing power to handle multiple home and office based programs at once. Other important hardware points can similarly be upgraded, such as a maximum of 8GB of RAM and an optional solid state drive for increased storage that can be accessed extremely quickly. One important distinction with this laptop is that it has a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 on its 14-inch display.
