The Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E220s is a 12.5'' portable notebook pack with powerful components. This generation of Thinkpad Edge notebooks is equipped with second generation Intel Core i series processors with clock speeds of up to 2.7GHz (Core i7 model) as well as improved integrated graphics. Other components include a 12.5'' LCD display, up to 8GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. Whilst the Thinkpad Edge might not have the same build quality or component protection as the highend T and X series Thinkpads, it does have several "traditional" Thinkpad features such as the ThinkLight, the Trackpoint, and their renowned keyboards. The E220s can be considered as a refined version of the previous generation; it is now both lighter (3.5lbs) and thinner (0.85'' at the thinnest point). Other features include a HD webcam, an HDMI out, and a high quality microphone. The Thinkpad Edge E2200s is a good option for buyers looking for a portable notebook with ample amount of performance, although the X-series ultraportables are available at a slightly higher price but with higher quality materials and extra features.
