Released in March 2009, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y650 is an affordable 16" multimedia laptop from Lenovo. It is a Windows-based laptop and is geared more towards the consumer market than Lenovo's traditional business line. Introduced as a mobile option designed for HD and multimedia, the Y650 features a slim and light build (only 1 inch at its thinnest point and a weight of 5.6 pounds), and includes a 16" LED backlit screen with a resolution of 1366x768, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel GMA 4500 MHD graphics with the optional upgrade to an Nvidia N10M-GE1 (with 256MB of dedicated VRAM), up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of storage, and all of the expected bells and whistles. The Y650 is priced with the base at $1,049. The other two sizes in the lineup are the 15" Y550 and the 14" Y450.
