Edit

The Leica D-LUX 5 is a compact digital camera described by critics as a duplicate of the Panasonic LX5, as it too features a 1/1.63” CCD sensor for 10.1MP stills, a 3.75x DC VarioSummicron lens, and support for 720p AVCHD Lite video. But as an upgrade to the D-LUX 4, the Leica D-LUX 5 offers a faster ASPH lens with an extended range, greater low-light sensitivity, an improved image processor, improved corner sharpness, enhanced resistance to aberrations, and advanced optical image stabilization. Many people aren’t too keen on purchasing the new LUX because it’s like an LX5 that has been repackaged and branded with a red circular logo—all at a more premium price.

I'll be using this as a general walk around camera for street photography. Is it well sealed against rain penetration? Just wondering if I get caught out with out a plastic bag!
