The LEGO Star Wars Death Star kit allows builders to reconstruct the space station from the Star Wars universe. It includes a range of minifigure-scale scenes and accessories from Episodes IV and VI on its five decks. These include the control room, moving turbolaser turrets, hangar bay with TIE Advanced starfighter, tractor beam controls, Emperor's throne room, detention block, Imperial conference room, droid maintenance facility, and the Death Star superlaser. Also included are Princess Leia's detention block cell, and the trash compactor scene from Episode IV. This is a very large LEGO kit and it contains more than 3800 pieces, including 24 minifigures based on Star Wars characters. It is targeted at collectors as well as children who would like to play with the set once completed. This model has a high price point.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does the 16.5 in width dimension include the laser sitcking out of the side? If not, what is the actual width of just the circular station itself?

It is about 22" from end of laser to the other side of the Death Star if the laser is moved as far out as possible. The 16.5" measurement would be without the superlaser firing.
