The Klipsch RS-41 II is a low-cost 200 watt surround speaker. Klipsch promotes this speaker as having high output while using little energy. This is partially thanks to the Tractrix horn system, which regulates the sound waves coming from the dual 1" tweeters and increases sound dispersion (90 degrees x 60 degrees), while preventing distortion. The 4" Cerametallic woofer cone of the RS-41 II is treated with aluminum, which also helps in the prevention of sound distortion. The RS-41 II speaker is setup in the Wide Dispersion Surround Technology (WDST) configuration, which provides both ambient surround sound and precise localizing of sounds. This speaker is a step down from the higher cost RS-42 II surround speaker in that the RS-42 II has two 4" Cerametallic cone woofers instead of just one, and has 300 watts of power instead of 200 watts.
