Pros

Cross-braced design significantly reduces residual noise - minimizes undesirable reverberation much better than lower-end floorstanding units

2 agree

Highly energy efficient - minimal energy required to produce massive sound output - good for both ecological impact and unit longevity

1 agrees

Horn-style tweeters produce considerable high-frequency presence - cymbals, brass and other high-pitched sounds cut beautifully through the mix

1 agrees

Very well-priced for the feature set - build quality/engineering is second-to-none

1 agrees

Outputting is clear and well-defined - high and low frequencies are balanced without overpowering from either end

1 agrees

Ultra-sensitive response excels during spoken-word film scenes - whispers are especially well-represented

The Klipsch RF-62 is a high-performance floorstanding loudspeaker that falls in the lower half of the Reference Series RF speakers offered by Klipsch. The key feature of the RF series is the exclusive, critically acclaimed Tractrix horn. This technology has been refined for the RF-62 to include an improved throat geometry for more genuine, lifelike sound.  Behind the horn is a 1" titanium tweeter with a large ceramic motor to give precise and clear sound. Below the horn there are dual 6.5" Cerametallic woofers with inverted copper dust caps.  These woofers have a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and feature superb damping.  The cabinet is designed with internal crossbracing to minimize unwanted vibrations and dual rear-firing ports eliminate turbulant noise.  There is also incresed baffle ribbing around the horn mouth for improved acoustics.  The Klipsch RF-62 are sold by the pair, and are available in black vinyl with magnetically attached speaker grills.
