Edit

The Klipsch RF-42 II is one of five floorstanding tower speakers (RF-7 II, RF-82 II, RF-62 II, RF-II, and RF-42 II) released as additions to the Reference II Series in August 2010. In particular, the RF-42 II hosts Klipsch’s proprietary Tractrix Horn technology. In particular, it has a 90-degree-by-60-degree tractrix horn mated to a 1” titanium diaphragm compression driver. Also included are dual 4.5” cerametallic cone woofers. Designed to work alongside other Reference II speakers (surround, bookshelf, etc.), the RF-42 works to reduce distortion and provide an open and natural sound along a 59Hz-24kHz frequency range, with the help of 300W of max power.
