Edit

The RC-42 II is the entry-level center speaker in Klipsch's high-end Reference Series. It utilizes a 1" tweeter and dual 4" woofers, outputting 75W RMS. The RC-52 II offers a step up – a 125W output – mainly through larger woofers. Both models feature "Tractrix Horn" technology (also used in much less expensive Klipsch speakers), which the manufacturer says reduces distortion, improving sound clarity and precision. The speaker's drivers are magnetically shielded, preventing interference from other electronics. The vinyl cabinet is finished in a black wood pattern.
