The Kingston DataTraveler 310 is a USB flash drive released in February 2010 as an upgrade from the DataTravel 300. It too maintains a colossal capacity of 256GB, but it offers improved transfer speeds of 25MB/sec (read) and 12MB/sec (write). It also works with all major operating systems, but unlike the 300, the 310 cannot handle Windows ReadyBoost. Another improvement is the addition of a reinforced lanyard/key-ring hole, allowing users to carry the drive around their neck or attached to their wallet. Additional features include password protection via Password Traveler; a durable design with a cap protecting the USB connector; and a 5-year limited warranty.
